Beyond the ripping, the movie also documents the fierce competitive rivalry between Slater (9X ASP World Champion) and Irons (3X ASP World Champion) that has brewed for the past decade.
Even the two biggest surf companies (Quiksilver and Billabong) teamed up to help put together this movie.

Just bought the DVD …
Just bought the DVD. Way better than I expected and definitely a must see for anyone who has followed these two adjoining generations in pro-surfing . Makes you think about what is trumped up for the audience and what is the real stuff behind these kind of athletic phenoms. People seldom question what it takes to get that far and it’s nice to see these two guys talk about it for real. I agree though, seems like the spark between them could still start a fire. In a good way.

I like the movie …
I like the movie but I was left with the feeling that there’s still tension between them. They should’ve showed more shots where they’re talking together or interviewing together. You never really see them bonding in the same shot. It would’ve been nice to see them sharing a laugh together about the whole thing and showing they’re truly past it. Just my opinion. Good video anyway, though!

Which if you use your argument, means that others who have but a few amazing surf sessions, those could be considered luck. Making the fact that Kelly who surfs consistently well all the time, has real talent above luck, there in turn making him the best..just saying.
