Dinner Party Question?

June 8th, 2010

I’m having a dinner party in a couple weeks time and thinking up some ideas, and for an appetiser I am thinking of serving Chicken liver pate, proscuitto, mini pickles, quince paste and some type of little crusty breads like brioche or something. It would be served like a platter and people could make their own.

What else should I put on the platter? I know some people don’t like pate (not sure about my guests)

What do you think? And what sort of wine should I serve with this? I was thinking Pinot Gris?

You could add some cheese – a high quality parmasan would go very well with what you have and some grissini too and olives.

I would go for a Sauvignon blanc – the dry crispness will balance out the fattiness of the pate, meat and cheese.

Sounds delicious – please send me the invite….. :)

I think we both share the same thoughts albeit with a slight difference. Just like you, I asked a sincere question but don’t know why I get insulting comments. Please see this and let me know if anything is wrong here.
